The fitness stairs at the Parolannummi sports park were equipped with glare-free lighting using Airam’s Rigel LED strip. The lighting enables safe movement and encourages both the brigade’s personnel, conscripts, and local residents to exercise even during dark evenings.

The fitness stairs at the Parolannummi sports park were equipped with glare-free lighting using Airam’s Rigel LED strip. The lighting enables safe movement and encourages both the brigade’s personnel, conscripts, and local residents to exercise even during dark evenings.
The fitness stairs in Parola sports park, located north of Hämeenlinna, are illuminated with Airam’s Rigel LED strip. The strip was installed with Rigel II brackets on the underside of the wooden handrail to provide downward-directed, glare-free light. Thanks to the LED lighting, users can safely navigate the stairs even in low-light conditions.
A sports park for everyone
The stairs feature a vertical rise of 28 metres and a total of 229 steps. Parola sports park offers versatile opportunities for exercise not only for the brigade’s personnel but also for residents of Hattula and nearby areas.
In addition to the stairs, the area includes two fitness trails (3.0 km and 4.3 km), a 12-hole disc golf course, an obstacle course, a 400 m running track, and a ball field.
Rigel
The Rigel 230V LED strip is designed for interior and exterior spaces where long, continuous lines of light are required. The strip’s maximum length is 50 metres. It is connected directly to a 230 V mains network. The strips are available in two colour temperatures. Rigel is delivered as 50 m reels or cut to measure. IP65.
