Lighting plays a key role in the efficient and safe use of industrial halls. Large spaces, diverse work processes and changing operational requirements demand flexibility and performance from the lighting system. At the same time, energy efficiency must be an integral part of the overall solution.
For the lighting at MTC Flextek’s Nurmijärvi facility, the aim was to find a solution that supports the versatile use of the space and enables lighting to be adapted to different situations. The hall consists of two separate areas with differing functions, meaning the lighting design had to take the distinct requirements of each area into account. Wireless control formed the basis of the solution.
Suitable luminaires were found in the Airam range. The Futura PC and Plano Pro models are compatible with both Helvar Components technology and the Casambi control system.
The luminaires were equipped with a Helvar Components Freedom LED driver and a Freedom Node Casambi unit, giving each luminaire integrated wireless control capabilities.
In the hall, completed in September 2025, the high-quality and adaptable lighting operates seamlessly in the background. The solution provides users with high-quality, easily adjustable and energy-efficient lighting.
All luminaires deliver the required amount of high-quality light and operate under intelligent control. The solution improves the user experience and reduces life-cycle costs while supporting MTC Flextek’s environmental certification objectives.
