Luminaires from Airam for state-of-the-art spaces
The completed Marsio and Kide projects on Aalto University’s campus in Espoo’s Otaniemi bring long-awaited space for the schools of electrical engineering and science. Airam supplied most of the luminaires for the state-of-the-art spaces equipped with modern digital technology. Airam luminaires were installed in video, animation and graphics studios, classrooms, meeting rooms and lobbies.

Vario tailored down to the optics
Airam tailored Vario profile luminaires to meet the needs of different areas. Luminaire dimensions, mounting methods, optics, luminous flux and body colours vary by space. The outcome meets the technical lighting requirements. Connection cables were pre-installed at the factory in surface-mounted Vario luminaires to streamline installation.
Plano Pro as general lighting
Energy-efficient Plano Pro illuminates lobbies and classrooms. The even light of the modular luminaire works well as general lighting in the audio laboratory and teaching spaces. The standard Plano Pro model has an excellent efficacy. In addition, CRI90 as a standard feature, together with microprism optics and Dali control, ensures good lighting conditions in these state-of-the-art learning environments.
Ebba blends into the studio ceiling
Ebba modular luminaires painted in a special black colour, equipped with two deep optics, blend seamlessly into the experimental studio ceiling. The abundant light from the luminaires provides excellent working conditions in the space, even though the luminaires and their optics are barely noticeable above the studio technology in the ceiling.
Vario
Vario, which is manufactured in Finland, is designed and produced at Airam’s factory in Lahti and has been awarded the Key Flag symbol.
